Its our 3rd anniversary!

Just 3 years ago, though it seems like much longer, Chris and I said our vows!!! That day had alot of ups and some downs too, such as the story about how the cake got partially ruined on the way to Michigan City from Chicago, but it did not ruin the day so I wont focus on the negative... Do I wish I could redo our wedding? Kinda, sometimes. But we are happy and married and thats the point:) Sometimes I feel like I get to re live the love and excitement of our wedding at each wedding we go to through our brides and grooms! Being so surrounded in LOVE is really amazing.


I look forward to whatever lies in the years ahead of us together:)

JAMAICA!!!!

We are out this week for 2, count em TWO weddings(and day after/trash the dress sessions) in Jamaica!!! (From May 21 till may 27) We will be staying at The Grand Palladium Resort Lucea!
We plan to snorkel/be under water/on the beach as much as possible, but as much of this trip will be work, and since we will be out of the country most likely without internet access, responses to calls and emails will probably not be able to be returned till at least Thursday May 28. But expect to see TONS of photos when we return!

I am really excited about visiting Jamaica, eating all of the tropical fruits, swimming in the ocean, soaking up some sun, and most importantly I am excited for Petina & Nate, and Linda & Dan's weddings this weekend!
Oh one more thing! While we are in Jamaica, Chris and I will celebrate our 3rd Wedding Anniversary! Sweet right??

WOWIE these two worked it! I am really running out of words for all of our awesome couples! I guess that is a blessing, that our couples are really just too great for words. Their wedding will be this September, Sweet:)

The Levi Family

Its time again for photos of the Levi Family! You may remember them if you have been watching my blog for the last year and a half, This little guy is growing like crazy. Check them out:

I am a nature dork

So I have been going for these walks lately at a little park near my home. It has been there for awhile now but I never really took advantage of it. Lazy I suppose... Well for the last couple of months I have been pretty good about walking on the treadmill at the gym. But now that it is getting pretty decent out most of the time, I am trying to do my walking outside. I am getting better about actually doing it. Last night I really realized how lucky I am to have this place so close to my home. I dont even need music, there are a multitude of birds singing all the time there. Tons of orioles, and a pair of swans nesting!! Just so you know, this pond was a corn field a few years ago before it was transformed into this beautiful park.
I took a few photos around sunset the other night, The orioles at the park have no fear.

I was obsessed with swans as a kid. They are so graceful, no matter what they are doing!




Oh whats that peeping out under the wing?

Its a fuzzy little baby swan!!



You should know that I was shooting these photos with my 200mm lens but even still I was in the 'danger zone'... Swans do not like to be bothered and will attack!

Ryan & Erica - Engagements at the beach!

If Erica & Ryan seem familiar, you may remember their session in Chicago a few months ago! Ryan lived in Michigan City when he was little so we did another session here at the beach! These two are so fun, and they are really good at taking photos! After the session we went out for Mediterranean food at Sahara here in Michigan City. Erica was very adventurous and tried everything which was a big deal, I was so proud of her. I hope you enjoy viewing these photos as much as we enjoyed taking them!

Mandy & Eric are Married!

I am having trouble making words about how I feel about Mandy & Eric's wedding. This was the official start to our wedding season this year and I dont think it could have been a better opener! Mandy had such a beautiful attitude all day about just about everything. Not that there could have even been much to worry about. I feel like I have grown to be friends with alot of my brides through Facebook this year, and I couldnt be happier. Being surrounded by people that are so in love you can feel it is really wonderful!
Anyway, so about their wedding day, it started out cold, windy and gloomy. But before the ceremony the clouds cleared, the sun came out, the wind died down and the temp went up(not a ton, but enough). This wedding left me with an immense level of joy. I am so happy for you Mandy & Eric!!! Have fun in Costa Rica! I want to see photos when you get back!!!

Wedding Photographers Chicago - Night photo shoot

Last week a bunch of our photographer friends got together to shoot at night in the West Loop of Chicago. We had an awesome time sharing ideas, playing with light, posing and hanging out. Believe it or not, many photographers LOVE being photographed(but we are always the ones behind the camera), I love seeing photos of Chris and I working so a video of it was even better!.
